Who We Are
We are a local social enterprise that deploys a Human- centered -Design Approach and a Theory of Change to Support the Resilience of livelihoods of children, women, youth, people with disabilities and the elderly in some 12 Districts in Uganda particularly in Busoga region the Districts of Luuka and Kamuli -Guided by the African Philosophy of “UBUNTU” (I am Because We Are) Our Human-Centered-Design Approach and Theory of Change treat beneficiaries as active agents and partners, not passive recipients. This ensures our interventions are customized, community-owned and yield the best possible outcomes.
Our Programs
Sustainable Agriculture & Food Security
- Piggery farming, fish farming, and bee keeping.
- Training farmers in climate-smart agriculture.
- Supporting smallholder farmers with market access.
Supporting the elderly
- Providing essential care, food, and medical support.
- Promoting dignity and well-being through home visits, social inclusion activities, and income-generating projects.
- Training caregivers and community volunteers to ensure sustained support and advocacy for the rights of older persons.
Vocational & Entrepreneurship Training
- Offering skills development in liquid soap making, agribusiness, carpentry, tailoring, and ICT.
- Providing startup capital or tools for small businesses.
- Conducting financial literacy and cooperative development training.
Community Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) Initiatives
- Constructing boreholes, rainwater harvesting systems, and sanitation facilities.
- Training communities on safe water usage and hygiene practices.
- Distributing water purification solutions.
Education & Literacy Enhancement
- Building and equipping schools in underserved areas.
- Offering scholarships and mentorship programs.
- Promoting digital literacy and access to learning resources.
Conflict Management
- Equipping communities with skills in mediation, dialogue, and peacebuilding.
- Conducting workshops on conflict resolution, and promoting social cohesion.
- Supporting youth and women in leadership roles to foster long-term harmony.
